Uhhh..new 2026 Ram Limited. 897lbs of payload.

A little ass Kei truck probably two or three times the payload than the RAM, i will have to check my brother's Kei truck when he gets it.

That was a big WTF from me when I saw that video.

Tim is there a reason that truck manufacturers are not playing with the GVWR a little more in the half-ton segment? Seems like they could go to 7999lbs. That would give us extra payload, assuming the truck can take it.

Seems like that would warrant a WTF are you thinking Ram video? Even if it's just walking through the logistics of owning a half ton with less than 900 lb of payload, how the numbers would work out etc. Even a skinny family of four is probably 500 lb leaving you with a whopping 4,000 lb towing capacity.
I see this as different customers for different trucks. Luxury truck buyers aren't towing. My Dad owned a Denali for 10 years and towed with it once. Hell he didn't even know what payload was! LOL.

I'm working with finding a good Ram dealer to shoot videos like the Ford dealer I have in town.

I can do a video for sure on this. I'll see if I can find an example online.

I had a feeling you would mention the AT4x or the Raptor R even the TRX. Those are completely different beasts though, decked out for off-road with tons of added weight most of the same luxury options. I think your argument about not towing works with those vehicles.

The Ram limited on the other hand I see all the time towing, my father-in-law owns one but it's a 2023 I think with the hemi. He tows a 6500 lb trailer.

I'd be more curious about the payload in the Ford F-150 Platinum, the Chevy High Country and the Denali and Denali Ultimate. Be shocked if they're around 900 lbs. Minus the Denali Ultimate I see those trucks everywhere including the Ram Limited.

Honestly, I was just going back in my past press loan list and the SIerra AT4X was the most recent one that popped up.

I did have a dealership send me a payload sticker for the 2026 Ram 1500 Tungsten. It is 1,035. I couldn't find a 26 Limited.

I should have my door sticker for the High Country I had. F-150 Platinum and Denali and Denali Ultimate. I think I had a Denali Ultimate recently. Let me do some digging real quick.

This is interesting. The 2022 Ram 1500 Limited had 1,445 lbs of payload:

I skimmed the Truck King video and I can see their Limited has a sunroof and a split tailgate. That's about the only difference.
