I was able to borrow my dad’s F250 Tremor with the 7.3L Godzilla engine for a month last year while my truck was getting fixed and yeah, even aired down to 40-45, it was still very rough. The roads around where I live are frequently recognized as some of the worst in North America lol. I also averaged 8-12 mpg over that month depending on what I was doing.

It was awesome while loaded and I towed 14-15000 lbs with it easily, but it was just too much of a compromise. If the 2500 ZR2/AT4X were cheaper, I would probably be in one right now. The ride was so much better than any HD truck I’ve driven, except the power wagon, and they look badass enough for me to overlook the rest of the downsides.

I did a video with a F-250, a few years back, where I said I had to stop driving it during the week because my back starting to hurt. Literally, it was hurting my back to drive it unladen. Roman had it the week before and I happened to catch his video. He said the same thing.

Got some “hey be a man” comments from that video. Nice to see I wasn’t alone. Ford told me they “improved” the new Super Duty when unladen. I drove one for a little bit and it was better-ish.

Hmm… speaking of. I haven’t gotten a press loan of a Super Duty in a few years. I should head over to my Ford dealer and do a few videos. The Ram HD videos are doing pretty well even without a towing segment. Thanks guys once again for the story ideas!
 
I did like the fact that Tim pointed out that this truck has literally every option box checked. It would be similar to buying a 2000 S-10 Xtreme package and loading it up with every option.

Yeah but the story is the other loaded highest trim trucks are all rocking several hundred pounds more of payload.

I need to go look at the build sheet but usually when you pick a platinum or a limited there's not a whole hell of a lot more options to add on.

There’s usually a higher option package on the platinum, but once you select it, it pretty much comes with everything. In Canada that package is 11k. Funny enough, you still need to add the bed liner as an extra…

The Tungsten has a 1080lb payload. Makes sense since Tim said, that hemi added weight.
