I read auto news a lot. One thing I know for sure is every vehicle has at least one issue that develops over time, even the claimed bullet proof ones. It’s a fact of life that vehicle engineering goal is “good enough”, not “perfect”.

I considered a Titan XD for towing our horse. What I found from the 22 Pro 4x I drove was a truck with the weight, heavy steering, and rough ride of a super duty without the capability of the most capable 1/2 tons, f150 with max trailer tow pack towed 2k more than the Titan and drove 100%...

22+ Tundra and 22+ Tacoma also spec 0w-20. There was some speculation that too thin oil going 10k oci’s were contributing to the blown bearings. hard to prove though.
