I got a problem with the GMC Canyon AT4X AEV edition!

Exactly, right-handed people naturally lead with their right foot but that's an awkward as hell way to get into the driver seat using the steps. Also I have a grab bar in my AT4 and never use it, it's lifted 2 in on 35s. I'm 6'1" but all torso no legs lol.

    Truck Purchase GM vs Toyota

Buy a bigger trailer?... Or change the setup so you can move the majority of that weight to the trailer.

I got a problem with the GMC Canyon AT4X AEV edition!

When I put the steps on my AT4 I was all clustered until I figured that out. Left foot, right foot to normal seating position. Stand facing the door, then they're the same distance lol.

I got a problem with the GMC Canyon AT4X AEV edition!

Left foot on the step first, not right foot! It's all backwards! 2/10 on entry!

    Motor Trend year-long TRD Pro

I just finished reading the article and actually thought it was pretty decent. If he only complained about the large turning circle while mentioning it's his first truck I would roll my eyes but letting us know it's 3 ft larger than the RAM drove the point home and made sense, It has a bad...

Do you need/want Apple CarPlay in your next vehicle?

My experience with CaPlay is with the GF's phone in her 2020 Expedition, it looks like shit compared to AA. (Similar to my Sierra) But I can't tell her that lol, iPhone4life booiiiiii. My AA looks the same in both vehicles, like identical in both minus the ordering of apps and how you interact...

What does 'American-made' mean to you?

I do prefer American made and then after that, allied made (in the current order of the world.) I try to avoid China when I can but that's impossible with some things. My Samsung phone is made in Vietnam, Dell laptop all over but Dell is cutting ties with China as Samsung did. In the truck...

    Truck Purchase GM vs Toyota

That was another big push for me besides interior space, cargo space. I ran a Softopper on my tacoma because I couldn't fit anything under a tonneau cover. Any cooler of size was too tall. The extra depth of the full size bed is great. When camping my generator, bikes and all of my equipment fit...

Damn Yank Tanks! Aussies want full-size truck, rest of public losing its minds

I assume the same reason I would. Capability, space and comfort.

Do you need/want Apple CarPlay in your next vehicle?

Also Android Auto, so I don't care about CarPlay. Other than thinking it doesn't look/work nearly as well and AA. (Significant other is an Apple person so I routinely see and interact with both.) Without watching the video yet I have to assume these moves are being made to try and get in front...

Damn Yank Tanks! Aussies want full-size truck, rest of public losing its minds

Many states are working out a way to charge a miles driven tax per weight and vehicle class due to lost revenue from gas taxes because of EV and better MPG across the board. "Both Utah and Oregon have voluntary mileage tax programs that range from 1 to 2 cents per mile driven. Hawaii...

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

COVID era prices of used vehicles shouldn't be used to gauge future resale value. I bought a 2009 Tacoma SR5 4WD in 2011 with 10k miles on it for 23900. I traded that Tacoma in on my AT4 in 2021 with 200k miles on it and was given 13,500 for it. They sold it that weekend for 16,500.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

Maybe I'm being argumentative but I don't think any of those issues are truly resolved, maybe with the exception of the hemi because they stopped making it. The Ford 10 speed is definitely not resolved as with issues with the 5.0. I do feel like the GM lifter issue is down to "normal" occurence...

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

The 3.0 has had plenty of problems, as has the 5.3 and 6.2 from GM the 3.5 and 5.0 and 10 speed from Ford and the Hemi from RAM. They all have issues, some serious, some minor. Some, by some I mean all including Toyota is that we'll never really see or understand exactly how widespread they are.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

The story isn't done, the recall is just the first chapter. I know it's referenced that they've been through something like this before with The frame recall but that was a long messy process that left many owners disappointed. I imagine the next chapter will be either the hybrid or the 2024...

    Truck Purchase GM vs Toyota

I'm in a 6.2 so normal mostly city driving is 16-18, hwy is 18-20 above 70 and 19-22 below 70. As for fit and finish, I didn't realize you were looking at used. Our Expedition was a fleet rental, not a public rental so make sure you look around. The interiors tend to get beat up in rentals but...

    Truck Purchase GM vs Toyota

I'm picking the GM but I am biased as I own a GM. I did come from a 2nd gen Tacoma that I had for 10 years and put 200k on. So, I feel your comments about full size. My two boys grew up in the back of the Tacoma but just didn't fit anymore. The new Tundra wasn't an option for me when I was...

Shoutout to Tim. TFL has covered this recall issue a couple times now and still haven't gotten it right with the Hybrid. In their latest video they said it wasn't affected. They have yet to show the portion of the recall that says It is affected but remains operable so it's not a major safety issue.
