Ram quality problems have long been a hot-button issue in the truck world and recently Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis addressed it head-on in a candid conversation that peeled back the curtain on what really happened during the launch of the refreshed 2025 Ram 1500 trucks. Wow the warranty matters a whole lot more than I thought. That’s a lot of people switching brand over a warranty. The sales number this year will be telling on if the strategy is worth it or not.

It was interesting that he mentioned how the warranty was really a business decision. Warranties are expensive, but if the sales are there then the business case makes sense. I had not heard a CEO put in those terms. Makes sense.

It makes even more sense if what Tim says about brand loyalty. If those new Ram owners switch loyalty so their next truck will also be Ram that's even better.
