Additives in pump gasoline

I used to be a fuel hauler here in Canada and loaded primarily out of Regina. Places like 7-11 used Petro Canada gas, fast gas outlets uses generic refinery gas, which in my case was co-op gas. Shell has their own additives as does Petro Canada, Esso, co-op has their additives also. I always wondered what Costco was adding to the gas I delivered, they have an additives tank. Before I could offload they needed to know how many litres I was putting in each tank. They then added their secret ingredient to the tanks before I could start offloading. Does anyone know what they are putting in the gas and do they do this in the US. I could understand it if I was delivering pure gas but I always loaded the regular stuff with the additives in it which in my case was at Esso.

lol I’m sure it’s fine, just wondering why they add it since the gas already has some in it.

Only thing I could find is that it’s UltraZol 9888.

I don’t know, the gas I brought there already had all the additives in it. I’m sure it’s fine, they sell a lot of gas but I won’t use it. How much of this stuff are they adding? I don’t know what’s in the gas I load either but I don’t like the idea of a third party adding other things to it. I use shell gas in my pickup.

No apparently you don’t need the certification here from what I read. Shell, Kirkland and CO-OP are certified but Petro Canada and Esso are not which is weird because the Costco gas I delivered came from Esso In the two cities I delivered to, Regina and Edmonton. Costco’s in other cities may be using different refineries. Maybe they put those extra additives to make it top tier 🤷🏼‍♂️

Do they push the "Top Tier" gas rating in Canada like they do here?
I haven't seen anything indicating top tier in Ontario, the only talk about it is auto OEM's mentioning it, Shell does brag that their premium contains zero ethanol, they also have pamphlets in their stations explaining their premium fuel, I am also aware their diesel is of high quality, they do charge a little more than the other brands, Esso also claims their premium fuel is ethanol free, mind you you have to wonder whats lurking in their underground tanks, thats why I would prefer a busy Shell station where all fuels rotate quickly, but thats not always the case or feasible, there are many off brand stations that buy from who's cheapest or they have a contract with, you have to ask the off brand station, they have to tell you who's fuel their selling and whats in it, they have sheet under the counter should somebody ask, I know when the fuel truck is loading up, the additives are added then, meaning not everybody is going to get the same gasoline.
