Plastic upper control arms on 5th gen and newer (2019+)

The funniest part of this video are all the comments about how "this will be a complete failure" and "it will never work!". I think they really didn't pay attention to the part about being done since 2019 with no issues.

Ford recalls just keep coming in 2025

I think because, when they look at the individual vehicles, they are fine. It's just that as a whole brand, it's a lot of recalls. Personally, right now, the only brand I would hesitate with is GM. Sorry, but they just don't inspire a lot of confidence lately. I wanted a Canyon so bad but since...

New 2026 Ram truck warranty raises to 10 years, 100k miles

Honestly I preferred the dial over the console. The column wasn't bad either. It just doesn't matter to me because whatever it is, you get used to and it becomes muscle memory.

Ford recalls just keep coming in 2025

Just curious, how many weeks in a row of releasing recalls has it been for them? Gotta be close to a record. I don't dislike them but damn.

New 2026 Ram truck warranty raises to 10 years, 100k miles

Are you kidding? That tranny was a huge upgrade from the previous version.

New 2026 Ram truck warranty raises to 10 years, 100k miles

Yeah, they did have the Lifetime but that was restricted to original owner and required maintenance checks every 5 years. I was just curious about standard warranty.

American-Made Index 2025: How American is your truck?

Yep. And a new supplier shows up to offer Ford/GM/Ram the same part for lower cost. Happens every day. I was curious about it, so I went and checked my window sticker from my 2011 Ram. It states 70% of it came from the US or Canada. Unfortunately, they didn't separate it back then.

New 2026 Ram truck warranty raises to 10 years, 100k miles

Just curious, did the others change theirs when Dodge switched to 7/70 in the 2000's? And Ram had a 5/100 in 2010, then it fell back to the 5/60 like the rest. Never thought about it but it looks like they bounced around a lot. Did GM or Ford ever change theirs?

We now know the minimum for transmission fluid life.

So, it was 70K miles before?....huh. Greatly improved I see.

    The tariffs happened!

What they do and where they do it doesn't bother me at all. It's a worldwide economy that has Milwaukee tools made in China. We've seen plenty of this before but honestly, it just doesn't mean much. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that if they do it, they'll do it purely for the money...

    The tariffs happened!

Great. That'll just be a reason to raise prices again. No benefit in it when they can't fill their factory jobs now. I'm guessing they'll drag it out until the next election.

Ram race truck unveiled for NASCAR CRAFTSMAN series return

Looked fine to me. I think your look is from doing it while sitting in the driver's seat. In front of a laptop with good lighting, the monitor, etc., everyone looks more energetic. I think it worked well that you were doing all the Ram videos while sitting in a Ram though.

    40K full sized truck impossible

Nahhh, that wouldn't go over too well. He could show the complete books, and every commenter would just say they could do better. It's like when anyone talks about the federal budget. We all agree it's too much but none of us agree on what needs to be cut. I still state the same thing: It's a...

GM 6.2-liter V-8 recall oil type clarity for engine failure

To be honest, most of the confusion appears to be coming from social media sources. Sure, some simply report the facts like you did but others stretch it out into "what-ifs" and "my interpretation". You get different stories from each one. The NHTSA website isn't the most helpful either. They...

Did you read the news of why electric pickups are failing?

Read Jill's article finally. I have to agree with her points for the vast majority of truck owners. We are different. We're very stubborn and stuck in the past. Stuff like "only a diesel with 8ft bed will work" type of thinking. I personally don't mind the idea of it, for me, it's simply...

    New engine and vehicle reliability?

Simple AI searches are prone to giving out "summarized misinformation". It's often the greatest example of "garbage in/garbage out" that exists. All they can do is gather all the info there is and count it without checking the source for any sort of accuracy. So, every one of those "doom &...

    New engine and vehicle reliability?

These are my exact thoughts as well. Yep, there are some common issues out there like DFI & dirty valves. Or any of the multi-displacement systems causing issues with lifters but most of the actual catastrophic failures are so rare to be insignificant. Like Tim says, it's the additional small...

New 2025 full-size SUVs Compared: Tahoe, Expedition, Armada and more!

You're right. Unless you have that crazy big budget, it's exceedingly difficult to do a legitimate detailed comparison. I've jumped out of my Ram and in my cousin's Ford, and I really don't feel much of a difference. They just both work and work well. I would have to drive both for a month so...

    New engine and vehicle reliability?

You really think there is something to all this? I really don't put as much into the perceived engine issues. So much of it seems exaggerated. Sure, the recall of the GM and Toyotas are legit but traced to specific manufacturing issues. That's happened plenty of times before. Don't get me wrong...

    Had a slight setback

It's all fun and games until you put an eye-out. I remember having constant eye pain one morning but couldn't find anything. Went to the eye doc asap and he found a tiny eyelash stub embedded in my lid that was pointing straight at my eye. Like a hair-sliver.
