    2024 Jeep Wrangler 392

Last September @testerdahl took me for a ride in a press vehicle he had...a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 392, WOW! Really appreciated the test ride to see what this new Jeep 392 was like. Stunning, capable and it will put you back in the seat. So yesterday, we picked up a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler 392 in...

Does off-road driving void the warranty?

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, it has been a fun truck. In the 19 months since I bought in new, I've actually done a fair amount to it getting it ready for long haul camping trips. In just the past 12 months it has pulled the camper to both North and South borders. We went to Glacier National...

    Most comfortable seats?

I hear you. I like to keep my vehicles a long time too. You can do a lot with the OBD Jscan app and ALFA OBD app. I can connect and see any codes. I can clear error codes too. I added my cold air intake and forgot to connect the airflow sensor. CEL came on. I connected to the OBD port, read the...

    Most comfortable seats?

FWIW, I can only speak to the 2014 and 2022 Ram 1500's that I own. Just a few weeks ago we (family trip) drove from Moab, Utah to Lincoln, NE (842 miles) in one day. My Ram seats (Laramie/Leather-heated & vented) are wonderful. Spending that much time in the truck driving (pulling a 25ft camper)...

What did you do with your truck today?

Once the camper is squared away with the new axle, then the truck needed some more armor. Getting ready for Moab. The ORG skid plates are good, but leave the transmission exposed. We will be too far from home for the truck to have a mishap.

Jeep Grand Cherokee (2012) - Oil Filter Housing Leak

Speaking of Mopar oil filter locations. Last weekends project. The Pentastar 3.6L V6 has the oil filter on top of the engine, which is handy. Until it leaks. Switched the "plastic" part out with a supposedly "new & improved" upgraded part. All metal. So, after 12 years and 97,600...

    2025 Ram 1500 coverage

One note to share. Not sure when they started this, but my 2022 Laramie has the fog light illuminate the side you are turning too. It happens with or without the turn signal being used. Very cool feature. Just pointed it out to my son who joined me tonight for an errand. Actually does a pretty...

    2025 Ram 1500 coverage

It sounds like the new engine is 90 pounds lighter, so that will help. But pano sunroof, multi-function gate and ram boxes. All great choices I might add, but the key word is add. Those will add some weight. Curious to find out.

    2025 Ram 1500 coverage

Normally I would agree with you...since its a Bighorn. BUT... @testerdahl LOADED IT UP!

    2025 Ram 1500 coverage

So @testerdahl are you putting up a poll to guess the payload rating of your new Ram? I'm guessing its between 1300 and 1350 for the payload rating. (#1328 to be exact...LOL!) ;)

Does a projected truck resale value matter to you?

No. I typically buy it with the mindset that I'll pay it off and keep it for as long as possible.

Adding Trailer TPMS - 2022 Laramie

Just finished adding the Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System with help from the 5thGenRam forum. Added the two control boxes, a custom wire harness into the rear main harness and used the JScan App to turn on the feature. Putting the TPMS sensors in the camper rims was probably the hardest...
