    3rd Gen Engine Failures

I can say, without a doubt, the 2024 Tundra TRD Limited 4x4 is a lot smoother ride than my 2020 Tacoma TRD 4x4.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

Ah ok that makes sense. I dumped my 2020 Tacoma TRD for the 2024 Tundra TRD simply because I plan on buying some acreage and doing some farming work (light, not heavy) and I wanted a bigger truck to accommodate. Let's just hope this truck doesn't implode.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

So Mid-Size meaning a step down? I took my Tundra to Toyota yesterday. They looked it over, checked the filter and engine oil, air leaks i complained about, etc. They said "The only issue is your brakes and there is a Toyota notification about that, when there's a fix we'll call you". I hope...

Semper Fi. What did you buy and what did you upgrade to?

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

Not that kind of farming, lol. Enough that a 1/2 ton truck is needed and a Taco isn't enough. I'd get a HD truck if it was more than that.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

I've bought 10 new Toyotas since 2001. Yes, that's a lot of vehicles. This is the ONLY Toyota I've had a genuine concern "Did I get a POS"? The wind noise on the drivers side is atrocious, the cheap plastic annoys me and some of the door protective film is peeling off. Did the guys in Texas...

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

Its because I work from home. I was hoping this would be my last new vehicle before I retired. I want to buy some property and do some farming so I wanted a big truck. But now, I may have to dump this thing. Taking it to the dealer this weekend to check the wind noise and crappy plastic pieces.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

So basically every truck has its problem, and its a crap shot whether you get a decent truck or not? I do fear that if I want to see my Tundra, I'm going to get effed in the a, losing a ton of equity. Prime example? My 2020 Tacoma I paid $37k for. I paid it off (to get the Tundra) and got...

There is a 2024 Limited listed here.... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17lX2NAC70TUArOpvdH7IQJKCX5E50vAXpeUogyH5shM/edit?pli=1&gid=780956012#gid=780956012

No, I was on the phone with Toyota Corporate. They explicitly told me "The problem with the engine and metal shavings was fixed in March 2023". Is that the case or not? If not, they lied.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

I wasn't involved in that issue. The last Tundra I had prior to this was a 2006. If we need a class action lawsuit, I'm OK with that as well. The main problem I have is that they told me on the phone my 2024 was NOT affected by the blown engine issue and here and other places I am hearing...

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

Can't really do that unless I get Toyota to buy it back, but I can tell you Toyota corporate lied right to my face.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

That's what I was hoping to find out here. Have you, on your YouTube channel, heard from any 2024 Tundra owners complaining about blown motors? I also have: heavy wind noise, drivers window, peeling protective film on the doors and everything feels cheaply made, cheaply slapped together.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

I don't see why I can't tell them to take it back, I'll go get a GMC.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

So basically Toyota Corporate lied to me.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

Uhh that doesn't make me happy. Are the 2024 models having the same engine/bearing spin problem or something else? I literally told Toyota Corporate that "I've bought 10+ new Toyotas over the past 25 years, if this is a lemon, YOU ARE BUYING IT BACK". Then I'll probably go get a GMC.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

I do watch your videos and found you on YouTube. Are you hearing of anyone having the engine issue with a Tundra manufactured between April 2024 to present?
  18. jarbarian

    Talked to Toyota yesterday.

My 2024 Tundra Limited 4x4 was manufactured in Dec 2023. I was told the problems with the metal particulates in the oil causing bearings to spin was resolved in March 2023. Does anyone have a Tundra made between April-Dec 2023 with the engine problem?

Semper Fi. 2024 Tundra Limited....questions for ya!

Ok so I got $38k for my 2020 Tacoma and the closest dealer to have a 2024 Tundra Limited TRD 4x4 non hybrid is in KASAS, 1400 miles away. They have to ship it. Where do you guys get your nerf bars, pro grill stuff from? Everything on Amazon is Made in China, I prefer not to buy products made...

Semper Fi. 2024 Tundra Limited....questions for ya!

Nice. We actually saw VMFAT-101's last F-4 fly off and first F/A-18A fly in. In all fairness I have a love affair between F-14s and F-15s. That's when we didn't mess around. But in the end, if I was legally allow to buy one, it'd be an A-10. Nothing was more feared around the world than that...
