Why is Super Cruise availability limited to 1500 Short Beds?

They advertise the sh*t out of this yet it really has very limited availability. Want the "standard bed"? Forget super cruise! Want a 2500 so you can more easily pull larger trailers? Forget super cruise!

WHY?

It can work pulling a trailer in a 1500 but only if you have the short bed. What the heck?

I think it is because they haven't redone the HDs for real since 2019. The HD trucks don't have the computer hardware or software for Super Cruise to work.

Fair enough. Any idea why not the 1500 with a "standard bed" ?
That I don't know.

The only thing I know is the crew cab, short bed is THE most popular configuration. Automakers sell the high majority of truck sales with this configuration. Could just be a supply/demand issue.
