We bought a camper!

So, we did a thing. We bought a travel trailer camper! We've talked about it for a few years and have rented a lot of different campers. Last year, everyone seemed to really enjoy camping and we wanted our own. After a lot of shopping, we settled on a 30' camper weighing in at around 5k lbs with built-in stairs for the top bunk for the boys. I also plan on using this for towing demos for the business. Hoping for some good memories. Crazy how good the new RHO looks with the camper.

Congrats. Towing content would be a good addition to the channel. I know next to nothing about towing. Would you consider some beginners content, such as what ti look for in a hitch, what do you need to be aware of when towing, how do you keep the tow within the weight allowance for the truck. I'm sure theres more to consider

Congratulations Tim and family! Is that the 26BX? Nice trailer. I think you should do a video going over the trailer inside and out and all of the specs.

I'm curious to know what the RHO payload looks like after your family, propane, batteries and all the gear is in. Have to assume you'll be over? Can't remember the GCWR and payload off hand.

Any thoughts about airbags in the back of the RHO? Or other towing goodies?

Video live going over the camper mostly with some MPG thoughts. I am going to be curious on payload as well. I plan on hitting the scale on our first real trip.

I'm not sure I want to do air bags. I did them on the Silverado and while I liked them, I'm just not sure I want to go through installing them again. Pretty undecided at this point.

Honestly, that's one of many videos I plan on doing. I've done a couple, but now with the camper, I feel like I have all the pieces in place.

I just watched the video. Congratulations! I have a humble suggestion. Since you have the RHO and the Ranger and they both can technically tow the camper, maybe do a comparison test showing how much harder the Ranger is working to pull it vs the RHO. 0-60, mileage, transmission temps, and braking.

You aren't the first to come up with this idea. I plan on doing it for sure. Show the differences. It can be done. I suspect it will be a far more white knuckle experience.

I just remembered I was going to mention AAA now that you have the trailer. They have plans that include the trailer with the vehicle and AAA is significantly better than roadside assistance through your insurance.
