Tundra V6 Recall Again?

Internet conjecture, nobody who really knows anything is talking. I saw the Tundras.com website go hundreds to thousands(?) of posts deep on this and still, this recall was a surprise. Everyone thought toyota had addressed it, whether they believed the “cleaning debris” excuse or not. Now we know better. I’ll buy another tundra when they “fix” the TTV6 by replacing it with their newly announced V8. That’s the only fix that’ll give them a chance to restore my trust.

I, and many others, didn't think Toyota had addressed it. Hard to claim they did when the exact same issue kept happening in the years after the recall covered.

I tend to believe they legitimately had a debris issue, thought they solved it and prayed that was the cause of the bearing spin-outs.

It's all over in videos and articles so I just linked the AI response. There are videos discussing the when but no real answers other than a definite part number change in mid 2024 for the main bearings.
What’s weird is I’ve heard directly from Toyota mechanics the bearings hasn’t changed in years. So maybe a slight change but who knows. I could dig into the Toyota parts website but without holding them side by side, it would be hard to draw conclusions.

Just watched the short Tim, it's refreshing too see them take a small step towards admitting what a lot of people have known, guessed or assumed....and taken a lot of shit for lol.

Now what are they going to do?

If I owned a post original recall year Tundra, I would be livid at Toyota. How many people bought after the original debris recall? I seem to recall you talking about record Tundra sales. It's hard not too look at that and feel deceived.
