Trucks constantly evolving

This is an example of what I mean with trucks constantly evolving. In a few years, the Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia will have new rear axles due to Hino closing an assembly plant. Toyota Texas stepped in and is building their own plant and shipping the axles to Mexico.

Now imagine someone has an issue with their rear axle. I can hear it now, “Toyota’s been building this truck for XX years, you’d think they would have this figured out by now.”

Misguided.

The problem will always be the assumption that the auto manufacturer makes every component. They weren't doing this back in the early days. Just look at the badges on old GM products that say Body by Fisher.
