This year, the most 2024 automaker recalls goes to Chrysler/Stellantis, replacing Ford as the leader for the last few years. So by my calculations; FORD recalled 945,000 vehicles, GM 593,000, TESLA - 1,000,000 and Stellantis 12,000,000. Yikes.

Those are just the major recalls. There's lots of small ones with a few thousands or a few dozen.

I still say vehicle qty and recall qty only matters in context with what the recall is for. If every truck shipped with the wrong tire label means much less to me than the fact that only a small qty shipped missing a bolt that keeps the transmission from locking up while doing 60mph down the hwy.

I had the software recall for my 2023 Ram for the stability control issue. I never noticed anything. The update took little time. I guess I agree with Dusdaddy it depends what the recall is for… if it’s to replace my engine I may be more concerned lol. I have heard of people having to bring their cars back for multiple recalls and leaving the vehicle for days at a time… I’m sure that would get old very quickly.
