Should parts prices be included in reviews?

I saw an article where theives were stealing taillights and replacements were over $1,000 each. With that in mind, should prices of lights and mirrors be added to reviews as those parts are fairly vulnerable to getting hit and can mess up the ability to drive it because of all the sensors in bedded in them?

I agree, there are just way too many parts and whose prices would you quote anyway? Rock Auto, dealership, Scamazon, fleabay, local parts store? I would leave it up to the individual if they’ve so inclined.
And those parts prices could change as well. It is bad enough the price of the review vehicle will change after the review, adding more valuables is a bad idea imo.

I see your point. You would have to use the company's parts subsidiary (Motorcraft, Mopar, AC Delco...) to get the prices from and then you get the blowback from those that find the part off an auto part store or online which have wildly various prices depending on quality and where they were made.

It does make me wonder if buyers know what they are getting into when they buy a modern used pickup.

You'd also have to include mirrors as they are extremely expensive with all the power functions, puddle lights and now cameras embedded in them. Plus, I'd bet they get damaged more often than lights. A driver's side mirror for a 2024 Ram 2500 Rebel is $1100 and a tail-lamp is $750. Can't imagine what the headlight would be.

Oh it would have been:
Headlights
Taillights
Mirrors
Starter
Brakes
Shock absorbers
Bumper sensors
Alternators

All the stuff that needs replacement for the third owner.

I'm nearing 11 years of ownership on a pickup nearing 14 years old. I can replace a lot of stuff myself in my driveway. Will that be said years later about today's pickups?
