Should Ford bring the Ranger Super Duty here?

The made it for Australia and the rest of the global market but I think the size and capability of it would work great here!

The problem is twofold.

1.) That it will take away from the F Series sales that probably have higher profits built in.

2.) It would potentially hurt their "Best selling series" marketing. (Which could be saved by renaming it the Ford Ranger F100 Super Duty)

Still, it would be nice to have here. Even at F150 price

What do you think?

What exactly is the point to a Ranger Super Duty, it only has a 4 foot bed or so, that would be near impossible to overload on a regular Ranger unless you are hauling gold bars out of the Congo.

They could rebrand it to a F-100 and lump it into the F series sale like you mentionned.

I would love it, but I'm not sure there's an engine that would fit it here in NA. You would need something in between the 2.7 and the 3.5 to match it's capabilities. I guess the Coyote 5.0 could do the job.

My main concern will be the price. For it to work "numbers wise", it would have to start at $55,000 for the base model and go up with luxury options like carpeting.
