My nephew scored an awsome Cub Cadet for a $100
The only thing wrong was the fuel pump was draining fuel into the crankcase, so I bypassed the fuel pump for now and just letting it gravity feed, it runs like a top.

We bought our first cub a few years ago, like it much more than the JD we had previously. Good machine.
 
A good mower will last forever with just a little maintenance.

We have a basic yard machine that's 20 years old. All I've done is change the oil and air filter every year and spark plug once.

Pickup trucks should be this simple.

It makes me wonder how many billions of dollars are wasted every year because of things like what was wrong with the Cub Cadet, I am pretty sure whoever scrapped the tractor replaced it with another five or ten thousand dollar tractor because they did not want to fix a $50 problem, I can gaurerntee Cub Cadet doesn't make a new lawn tractor as good as the one that was scrapped.
My nephew bought it from a local scrap yard.
Now my brother is buying a Toyota Hijet mini truck from the same scrapyatd for $600 because it lost spark.
