As soon as Tim Kuniskis returned to Ram in December 2024, the rumors started swirling about the return of the Ram TRX powered by a supercharged Hemi V-8. It looks like we’ll know if the rumors are true on June 8. Ram Trucks issued a teaser this week via Instagram and Twitter stating: “Fire up […] (read full article...)

That comment alone makes me happy. It means that Ram is in good hands.

RAM had issue with Kuniskis, they did some good things but some head scratchers as well. He only left a year ago or so, I think he was technically gone for less than 6 months. So the issues that got them into this mess was on his plate and watch. It's easy to step away, talk a lot of s*** and come back trying to look like a savior. Nobody seemed to like Tavares but Tim had his hands in a lot of these issues.

He definitely has some good ideas and brings an energy back, maybe that will be enough, but only time will tell.

Oh, I agree there is a lot of blame to throw around, but it's your excitement that is giving me hope.

My wishes are for Ram to have a body on frame midsized truck that is available in both crew and extended cab configurations as well as a compact truck to go up against the Maverick.

Oh he wants a midsize truck. That is going to happen. Compact is up in the air.

That would be cool, I think the more logical move for them would be to bring in the small compact truck that they already sell elsewhere (Brazil) and it looks much more like the Hyundai Santa Cruz than the Ford Maverick.

I think part of the reason the Maverick sold so well is because it actually looks like a little truck, not an SUV with a bed.

Maybe they put different body panels on but I don't know how far they can push it to be "trucky."

Think about the whirlwind of mistakes at Stellantis\Dodge\RAM over the last few years. Pull the HEMI, discontinue the Charger and Challenger, come to the EV party way late with the cars and RAM. Terrible advertising campaign, Delay everything, reverse course, ignore the Durango, bring back the same ol V8 with no tweaks or changes.

I can't stop thinking about the amount of money lost in all of these decisions.

Kenny Roger's restaurant has them beat. They replaced their signs three times in a few months because they didn't like how the apostrophe looked.

Yeah it’s mistakes after mistakes with them. Hopefully they can turn it around, competition is good.
