One of many new tech features people want these days, the Ram digital key was supposed to be working two years ago. It still isn’t and, well, it should be working soon. Probably. I hate this technology trend where they promise something and maybe deliver it in the future in a software update. I missed the days where when they would announce something, it was good to go.

I previously owned a Rivian and decided to go back to a regular truck. The digital key on the Rivian was one of my absolute favorite things. I specifically choose a Ram because it had this feature. Almost a year later and it's still not available. Where is the accountability for this from Ram? Isn't there some consumer protection laws that prohibits companies from marketing that their product does something and then it never does?

Well this seems to be moving forward, unlike their other tech promise, the 2KW invertor. I see that has completely dropped off their website. Too bad, that would have been something actually useful.
