For anyone who thinks press trips are vacations for us, here is a recent itinerary I was sent. I fly in on Monday and out on Wednesday FYI.

Tuesday, May 14
5:30 – 6:15 a.m. Breakfast Available
Location: The Grove, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells

6:30 a.m. Shuttle to Starting Drive Location
Meet at The Grove, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells

7:30 – 8:00 a.m. Restrooms & Snacks

8:00 - 11:30 a.m. Off-Roading Opportunity #1

11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Lunch

12:30 – 3:30 p.m. Off-Roading Opportunity #2

3:30 – 4:00 p.m. Restrooms and Time for Additional Content Capture

4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Shuttle to Hyatt

7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Dinner (At your leisure)
Location: Fireside Garden, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells

I could think of worse places to stay. Almost $400/night for a single room, ouch. Doing this once in a blue moon would be fun but traveling all the time would suck, especially dealing with air travel. Only 45 minutes for chow then off to the races. Life in the fast lane.

I hope those restroom breaks aren't set in stone because if so I am out.

Hotels blend together after a while. I’m a Holiday Inn guy. These expensive places just have better sheets.

Off-road equal lots of bushes.

Funny story. Jill and I were doing an off-road trip and I drank a bunch of coffee. We were in the desert and I found some plants to “water.” I did use some hand sanitizer between “watering.” Jill started laughing each time she got back in the truck when she smelled the sanitizer. She said, “did you pee again?” I said, “don’t you like that I sanitized my hands?!” LOL
