Can a turbocharged engine last? That’s been a key question for many. Here’s a 2022 Toyota Tundra with 200k miles that counters those concerns. 3-rd Gen Toyota Tundra changes The 3rd-generation of the Toyota Tundra saw massive changes from the styling, technology, and arguably, most importantly, was a new 3.4-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine available with a hybrid replacing the very reliable 5.7-liter V8 engine. While small-displacement turbocharged engines aren’t new, Ford has had a similar engine called the EcoBoost since 2009, it was a big shock to most truck enthusiasts. Many of them have heard horror stories from friends about […] (read full article...)

I wonder how the GM Turbo Max is doing?
Other than its missing two cylinders to make it a proper inline six.

Imagine buying a 200K mile truck knowing you get a free engine. Not a terrible deal at all. It does bring to light that apparently not all the affected engines have "debris" bringing them down.

How about the highest millage of each engine currently available in half ton trucks? ;)
I’m pretty interested still in the “turbos aren’t reliable” debate with trucks. My next goal is to find a collection of high mileage Ford F-150 EcoBoost engines and dig through the Carfax reports.

Here's a likely suspect in Oklahoma. Autotrader lists 476 Ford 6-cyl from 2010-up with >200K miles nationwide. Of course, one would have to research the history on each to rule out the ones that have turbo/engine replacements. Sounds like a job for a professional YouTuber....:)

Are those all ecoboost or does it include the 3.7/3.5L NA V6 offered on the base models?

Yeah, I don't know of an uncomplicated way to sort those out. You can pick gas V6, but no option to add "turbo".

Yup, this makes it a bit more of a nightmare to figure out. I have seen some car sale websites that have the original sticker aka Monroney so you can check there.
