New Ram Midsize Truck Production to Ohio, New Jeeps for Illinois – Record $13 Billion Invested in U.S.

I believe that is also why people still believe in Toyota's perceived reliability. They're basing it off trucks that are two generations old.

There is a dude I follow on social media whom I can't recall his username off the top of my head, but he was talking about exactly this; but in regard to the Ram's interior quality of the 90s to 2000s with those dash boards that were seemingly made of paper mache. Highlighting that that generation was the beginning of the "ewww, Ram" mindset, and I agree. I think that's the moment when Chrysler Corp cared less about reliability and more about bottom line to save dinero which in turn reflected poorly to the customers (as the cheap dashboards were just one glaring problem these trucks had amongst many others, namely trans issues and electrical gremlins).

*edit: found it - @startupslick on Insta but think he’s on all platforms these days. This specific vid: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1CR3C6Bqy9/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I remember the "eww Dodge/Ram" mindset from the early eighties on up. Everyone seems to like dunking on the little guy.

Yes the dashes were bad but there are aftermarket dashes for sale.

I did the same for my thermostat housing. The OEM part is three layers of plastic glued together. The aftermarket one is one piece of aluminum.
