New muzzleloader

Bought myself a new rifle today at Cabelas. It’s a CVA Accura .50 caliber muzzleloader. This thing is sweet! My first gun purchase ever.

Nice gun! Have you shot with it yet? First time I shot a muzzle loader, I was surprised at the amount of smoke that came out. Made me feel like Elmer Fudd.

Shooting tomorrow with some friends. Then, I'm checking some of my game cameras. Muzzleloader deer season is open right now.

You should try a flintlock. Here, we have a short "primitive" season after Xmas. You can use a flintlock or a bow. I borrowed one to hunt with for one season. Now that's smoke in your face.

No but I would love to. We don't have that kind of hunting season where I am.
