You're not wrong but it's truly how most truck buyers/drivers think today. I don't know of any truck users who read MotorTrend back in the day. Unless they owned a GM 3500 dually to tow their Porche to the track. But now? Trucks are the bigger choice over the sports cars for the "mid-life" purchases. Ranger Raptors and Bigfoot Broncos abound in every suburban driveway. And they swear, they need those front/rear locking diffs to get over those speed bumps at the local Trader Joe's. Sadly, it's that segment of buyers that are driving the market of big screens and even bigger MSRPs.
