I don’t have the LM2 but the LZ0 however I stumbled upon a YT video by SPICER DESIGNS that describes his LM2 oil consumption issue and how it was resolved by GM engineers. This oil use issue is not for all LM2s but just a certain batch. GM has issued a Technical Service Bulletin TSP-22-NA-027 that describes the vehicles involved, the problem and the fix. The SPICER DESIGN YT video is entitled, “Oil Consumption Issue Finally Resolved! 3.0 Duramax LM2”. Thought I would pass this along.
