Howdy, y'all.
New member from CA (tentatively)...originally from San Antonio (sorta) but the Air Force sends me where it needs me lol only here for a little while, I'll be moving next summer.
I'm a Jeeper, I've had them off and on since coming into the Air Force in 2012. Currently only Jeep we have though is a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Willys in Tuscadero (pink). It's my wife's baby, but I can't deny how nice it is to drive for being an off-road pig, more-or-less. Gonna start modding it now that we're not overseas as we'll be moving to a cold climate next summer and I want it outfitted to hold more stuff in the bed (bed topper) and be able to take a hit or something if God forbid, we fall into a ditch or something in the winter (thinking AEV full width front bumper). As that starts to happen, maybe I'll make a thread if there's interest.
I know a lot of unnecessary info about Jeeps and love talking about their latest history (since the Fiat buyout) so if others just wanna bullshit I'm always down lol
I'm mainly here to do research on full-size SUVs, namely the Suburban. We really loved the looks of the Jeep Wagoneer, but the electrical gremlins are very worrisome, and their infotainment system is slower than a snail. The newest infotainment unit of the Suburban and Tahoe are leaps and bounds better (we've had several Tahoe rentals this summer and they were fantastic). Plus, they don't look that bad inside and out. I don't mind the 5.3L V8. I liked the TTI6 Hurricane when I test drove the Wagoneer last week, but it gets just as bad MPG (maybe a tiny bit better) as the 5.3L so it's not that concerning.
We're pretty set on the Suburban but I wanted to get other info and feedback so that's why I'm here!
See y'all around!
