I’ve spent a lot of time lately digging into GM’s next generation of truck engines. At the company’s powertrain event in Michigan, GM President Mark Reuss stepped up to explain the bigger picture: why Chevrolet and GMC are investing in new gasoline and diesel engines while GM continues developing electric vehicles. His remarks are worth hearing alongside the technical questions I put to the engineers. This is GM making its case for its own trucks, and I think that distinction matters.
