Factory alignment on new truck

Wondering if you all have seen a trend or how common this is but this is my second (new) chevy / gmc in the last 4 years and both came out of alignment from factory. Nothing major but clearly needs to be aligned. I contacted GM and they said since its new the alignment is covered (I believe up to 1000) miles ? Im going to surpass that by the time i get in to the dealer next week. Thoughts ?

I know Toyota had an issue with the TRD Pros and that was a mixup with the tire company specs. I've also heard of several RHOs having an alignment issue. TRD Jon's RHO for example needed an alignment. I also think I've heard of a few other brands having a few here or there. Rare but it happens.

The people driving new vehicles around lots and onto and off shipping platforms don't treat them like a new buyer would.

Funny stories, a buddy of mine owns a body shop. Before he was out on his own he worked at the biggest Ford dealership in this area....his job? Repairing new vehicles with body work that were damaged either on the lot or en route. He told me several different stories of replacing entire quarter panels front bumpers, rear bumpers you name it and then selling them as new and never informing the owner of the damage. I was shocked, he told me it's very common at the bigger lots.
