Duramax DPF Delete Parts Where Do I Start?

Hey everyone,

I have a 2012 LML Duramax sitting in my driveway that has been giving me nothing but trouble with the DPF system. Between constant regeneration cycles, reduced power mode, and a dealer quote that nearly made me fall off my chair, I am seriously considering a full DPF delete.

I have been looking at Duramax DPF delete parts from EGR Performance and wanted to know if anyone here has hands on experience with their kits. Are there specific up pipes, exhaust sections, or tuning packages you guys recommend? What brands have held up well for you long term?

Any advice from experienced Duramax owners would be genuinely appreciated.

I’d be cautious about going straight to a DPF delete, especially on a street driven truck, since it can create emissions and inspection issues depending on where you live. Before spending the money, I’d get the DPF system properly diagnosed for the root cause. Frequent regens can come from sensors, exhaust leaks, injectors, or other issues that may be much cheaper to fix. If the truck is otherwise solid, getting a second opinion from a Duramax specialist would be my first move.
