Do you plan on doing DIY maintenance on your pickup

With prices going up on everything, will you do more basic maintenance yourself instead of taking it to a garage?

I plan on doing my oil changes for a while. The tire rotations are going to be a pain using the tire iron, but since it's only 3,000 miles...

Same here. Been doing it myself for so long, I wouldn't know how to deal with a shop. But the wife takes her car to the shop. She says my schedule is much harder to get on than the dealers. And they charge her less.

I did see a news item yesterday with a quote from an expert suggesting oil changes will start hitting the $100 mark and higher for all trucks due to the tariffs on Canadian oil.

I do wonder where oil filters are made.

I do all of my own maintenance, well except when I had a clutch put in my 2004 Silverado as was to lazy.

I've historically done the majority of my own maintenance but life has been extra busy the last couple of years so I now have the dealership change the oil. I'll continue doing that as it saves time.

I just found out that the bearings are starting to talk. I'll be changing them over the weekend.

Same here, I usually support the dealership I buy my vehicles from and I like having my maintenance documented in case something goes wrong and need warranty work.

My Ranger is way out of warranty so I get to do what I feel is in my ability.

I just replaced the front wheel bearings yesterday. Man was it easy!
