I've had that music for a few years now and it is from the YouTube library. I was using a different service and the copyright strikes were a PITA. Using music from YouTube library automatically grants me a free license.
Honestly, I have times were I put background music and b-roll in then I'll go months without it. I just don't know if it is always necessary or useful.
In the case of new vehicles or if we didn't get enough footage, I like to put it in to give the viewer some idea of what the vehicle looks like before we dig into it. This was the case with the Ioniq 9. I figured people didn't immediately know what it was, so I wanted to insert some b-roll early to show it.
I probably should be more consistent with the background music and b-roll. I'm just not.
I like the music and think that it should used more consistently but I also think you're missing out on a great opportunity for editorial individuality. I think that you and Jill should have your own music for your reviews. You each have your own writing, speaking, and presentation styles so it becomes really obvious when you graft in the music.
I think you should have Jill pick out four different music choices for her videos. It shouldn't take too long. I'm sure she's got the time.
