Blind spot monitoring

I’m having an intermittent issue with the blind spot monitoring on my 2023 AT4 1500.
when someone passes, sometimes both indicators light up on the mirrors but not always. Dealer replaced the 2 modules in the rear bumper but that didn’t fix it. Anyone else hear of this or experience this?

That's a new one. Sad to say, but you might have to find a GM specific forum. I can't wait until this forum grows and we have more people who might have had a similar problem as you.

The sensor/processor isn't very model specific, so take a look at this...

I will restrain from my Mk I Eyeball comments this time.

I would recommend the SilveradoSierra forum which has been around since 2009 and has about 180,000 subscribers. It is more oriented to problem solving. Tim’s forum is new and to me is an extension of his you tube truck chat room.

I’m gonna talk to my GM dealer again soon and see if they have any further ideas yet. I’ll post back here when I find out more. Other Than that it’s been pretty good so far. The shop foreman told me these LZ0’s have been a bit better with the upgrades that they did to them in 2023 model year. I sure enjoy the fuel economy

So I finally got around to getting my truck back in to have the system looked at again. Sadly they don’t know what’s wrong as they went thru the whole system and can’t find any faults. The dealer techs talked to GM engineers on the issue and I basically got this statement back from them.
The system may pick up other stationary objects such as road signs, railings and road debris. Like no kidding I could have guessed that myself, except the problem occurs when there is nothing on the opposite side and when there are signs or railings it doesn’t pick them up. I dont feel like the dealership is conveying my issue properly and wish I could talk to the engineer myself. GM says of all the trucks they have only had 2 reported with this issue. Seems like it would be pretty simple for them to address in that case. It’s a $90,000 truck here in Canada and I expect things to work .

trying not to sound like a rant but wanted to post back the results.

Not sure if this helps but I noticed mine acts up more in wet weather or when there's road spray. Could be something interfering with the sensors maybe?

I hear you. Frustrating when you spend the money and something as simple as that does not work as advertised.
