Any Response?

I don't know about Tim, but I think they're just making things up or over exaggerating to get clicks.
Given the info presented an examples, plus the assertion Tim Kuniskis did contact Mr. Jackson (TK), not sure making things up or over exaggerating is truly in play, but let us accept your premise for a minute and grab something from my third link:

"Freedom of the press protects newspapers , television shows, social media, or any other forms of news sources to freely investigate and report information to the public. Freedom of the press prevents publishers from being forced to report content, rather, they may choose what to investigate and report on."

So in the grand tradition of our constitutional rights, both the news sources at the RAM brief and the people like TK and Butter are FREE to investigate what they report. The contention is RAM is trading access to their information in exchange for PUTPSUV, Mopar Insiders, and others in attendance at the briefing, to be essentially "PR flaks" for them and smear other reporters exercising their constitutional rights. Being PR Flaks while masquerading as independent "journalists" is nothing new (TFL), but actively working, in concert with corporate interests, to smear or discredit other outlets and DENY them their constitutional rights as part of a conspiratorial group is a whole other level and may be litigation worthy.

I would never consider TFL a "PR Flak" and definitely not Anyone here at Pickup Truck plus SUV Talk. TFL leans more entertainment but still has good reviews and Tim is so honest that engineers are actually asking out loud, "What would Tim do?" when thinks about upgrades or new features.
Hell, Tim and Jill are so tough that they are now featured on the MSN news page!

As for the Constitutional rights of reporters. Yeah. They can report anything they want as long as it's truthful. That doesn't mean that any company has to invite them to anything or provide products to them for testing and evaluations.

Look at Dave at All Terrain Nation . He started with Nissan Nation, or something like that, and was so honest with his thoughts that Nissan stopped sending him trucks to review. And he worked at the Tennessee plant!

TK and Butter da insides remind me of that guy with the loud voice and glasses. They have their angle and stick to it.

Gee, how did TFL regain access to Ford vehicles? Jim and Jill tough because the are on MSNs pages? Given some of the editing and narrative promulgation on MSN, I wouldn't be putting that as a point of journalistic pride. But I digress.

"As for the Constitutional rights of reporters. Yeah. They can report anything they want as long as it's truthful"

Your ignorance about First Amendment rights and the press is surprising. Here is a page to read:

https://firstamendment.mtsu.edu/article/freedom-of-the-press/

From the page directly:
  • New York Times Co. v. Sullivan (1964), in which the court held the press is largely free from any adverse act or court action if it attempts truthfully to report news of public concern; and when the news involves a public official, even erroneous reportage has a high degree of protection.
So despite the narrative advancing "fact checking" culture in what passes for "journalism" these days, as long as the intent is noble to finding the truth, they are free to publish what they find out and not, despite Tim E's request for them, reveal their sources to him. Mr. Jackson (TK) is a retired Naval Intelligence analyst, so I don't think he just does a 180 degree turn towards malice in what he is uncovering at RAM. Ironically, I'm sure Mr. Kuniskis legal team briefed him not name the channels with the "98% wrong" charge, less he get a slander complaint from them.

Simply put, RAM is trying to control the narrative and if PUTPSUVT is complicit in it by trying to silence fellow YT content providers, then the PR Flak moniker fits.

Are you going to be a smear agent for the other Tim? That is what these two You Tube creators are alleging.

You have been here enough and have watched his videos long enough (hopefully) to know that Tim doesn't smear other YouTubers. If anything, he will ignore them.

I mean Tim did specifically call out TK lol, however, I'm trying to wrap my head around the accusation here. Is it that RAM is giving factual news to outlets that play ball the way they want and that those outlets are smeaing the one's not invited?

My take: Someone got their feelings hurt because they aren't on the A-list. Welcome to the club. Not everyone gets invited to every event. And if you want to attend the so called "closed door meeting," then do your job better. This culture of entitlement drives me nuts. There are still events I don't get invited to after 20+ years in the business and being considered one of the top 50 journalists in North America (serving on the NACTOY jury). Do I post a nasty video? Nope. Do I try to understand why I didn't make the list and do better? Yep.

STRONG LANGUAGE ALERT!!!

Any response to these recent videos? Are you going to be a smear agent for the other Tim? That is what these two You Tube creators are alleging. Interested in your response to this assertion as it flies in the face of the following:

Ok, first. I couldn't make it a minute into the first video without doing an LOL. Literally an LOL.

Let's explain this private event that "didn't reveal any new product" and whatever else nonsense he said.

It was a room filled with about 100 journalists, a dozen Ram staff of PR and executives and had probably another 100 people logged in from all over the world. Not really that private. There were 4 different announcements with the final announcement coming out tonight at 10:01 pm ET.

So, no Ram didn't get "caught" sneaking anyone into a private event. A lot of people posted images and social media updates from the event. It was a pretty public event.

Next, what Tim said. That's on him. I found it humorous and I wasn't alone. A lot of people found it funny. Did Tim K say Da Butters or TK personally? Nope. Did I? Nope. Did Mopar Insiders? Nope. Was there a single instance of anyone calling them out by name? Nope.

Now do you think Tim Kuniskis hasn't heard of Da Butters or TK? Don't be naive. The entire Ram executive team and PR staff knows all about them. Here's the thing. As soon as you start a YouTube channel and start building a following, an agency starts creating a report on you to track your stats and for the executives as a summary to understand your background. This is common for all companies. I guarantee you right now someone from an agency is reading this post I'm writing right now.

Da Butters and TK seem to think they are somehow special and were called out. Like Jill said, they aren't and they aren't afforded any special protection under any journalism laws or protections. They were never called out by name. And I never once said their name.

All they are doing by doing these videos is reinforcing the fact they will never be invited to any media event, loaned any press car or provided any opportunity to interview any engineer or executive. They are showing, through their actions, they aren't people who will act in a professional manner at a professional event.

No, I won't be doing a reaction video or responding. I called him out one time and that was breaking my own rule which I shouldn't have done. I was frustrated and I made a mistake. I bet Tim K regrets doing the same. It is just really frustrating, like Tim K pointed out, that the new business model is to make shit up and that's what takes off meanwhile people who work hard and put out the truth don't get the same results.

Gee, how did TFL regain access to Ford vehicles?
The answer to this is basically the Ford family finally had to cave in to the Ford PR team's insistence to let bygones be bygones. Enough time had passed. Interestingly, TFL still doesn't get Subaru and, a sort of indirect result is, I don't get them either since I'm the same region. Jill gets them being closer to the press fleet in Chicago.

So despite the narrative advancing "fact checking" culture in what passes for "journalism" these days, as long as the intent is noble to finding the truth, they are free to publish what they find out and not, despite Tim E's request for them, reveal their sources to him. I have no interest in silencing anyone. There's no reason for me to do so on a personal or business wise. What Mr. Jackson does is what he does. That's his business not mine. All I know is I don't watch his channel anymore after we had a few back and forth exchanges about his sources and he got upset at my asking. You watch whatever channel you want to watch. That's none of my business.

Frankly, I have enough going on with my business and my family to care at all what other YT channels are doing or not doing. I can barely keep up as it is.
