Any Jeep Recon EV news?

All,

Any news about the Jeep Recon EV finally being released to dealers?

It’s Jeeps Wrangler-like EV and seemed promising styling and EV distance-wise…but it’s been near radio silence from Jeep since announcing it 2 or so years ago.

We’ve seen mules and pre-production models on forums and auto reports but nothing outa Jeep/FCA/Stellantis.

I’m curious about pricing. Optimists were hoping it’d start around $50K but realists knowing Jeep feel like it’ll be closer to $60K and up 😬

Just curious, thanks!

PS, I promise I don’t ONLY talk about Jeeps…it’s just where my heart is 🤣🤣🤣

My gut tells me that project is dead. It looks like Stellantis is killing or putting everything that is EV on the back burner after the end of the EV tax credit. I wrote and did a video on the impact of the ending of the tax credit on the market and I think this is another example of what is going to happen. We have seen layoffs and are starting to hear of companies putting billions of write downs on their financial documents.

On the flip side, I'll be curious to see what impact it has on our national debt and budget whenever the Federal government gets back to work.

It's funny, the Jeep Recon is by far the best looking electric Jeep and they killed it.

It’d be interesting if they’ve scrapped it cause at one point there were “spy shots” of a car hauler with a handful (maybe three or four?) of them in various colors six or so months back (I’m searching for that article off the MOPAR site for the pics).

I agree, it was easily the best looking and most promising but instead we get the Wagoneer S which is fugly imo…idc how nice and gadgety the inside is. I wonder if the Uconnect is just as ass as the normal Wagoneers? 👀

*edit: I know I saw pics of three or four in a trailer but the website I was thinking of last spoke of the Recon back in March lmfao it was a “Moab edition” being tested with the rag top roof. Reference, https://moparinsiders.com/spotted-jeep-recon-moab-testing-with-power-opening-roof/

If it’s still on Jeep’s website for now:
