All new trucks are junk these days?

i own a 2011 silverado with the lu3 4.3 and it has 195000 on it runs great have had 4 chevy trucks starting with a 1992 1993 1995 and all over 200,000 miles with no problems other than maintinence. but when you buy a new truck and you have all the issues today you say that shouldnt happen to a new 30,000 plus new truck. as far as dodge i always thought they where junk always tranny problems just to many issue you want a good dodge you have to get a cummins. i was i dye hard ford fan untill they dumped the 300 six and the 351 to the 5.4 imagine buying that nice new truck and having a plug blow out what a joke. anyways we all got opinions not much after 1995 is all that great. i bought 4 new trucks in the 1990's all 3/4 tons with the 351 and put 90 to 100,000 miles a year and never had one repair just tires and owned them about 3 years each, try that with some of these new ones and see if it happens without repairs.

I don't get the need, or desire, to compare the junk of today to the junk of yesterday. Or, the good of today with the good of yesterday.

With where we're at today, people are just expecting the new vehicle they purchase to work. Maybe it's because their expectations have changed. Maybe their dollar is stretched much thinner. Maybe they remember their parents buying a new 1999 Suburban with leather and 4WD for $34k and now it's $85k.

At some point people just aren't happy with what they're seeing from Ford, GM, RAM and Toyota and I can't really blame them.
