Video and short post just went live. While the changes are small, I think they are pretty damn significant. The blunder GM had with the Tahoe Z71 not able to have the diesel was huge. Think about it. They designed a brand new engine in house and a major redesign of the Tahoe came right after. The fact they didn't realize the dieseel would fit with the new Tahoe Z71 is classic working in a silo engineering.

I also included some photos and videos from our lifestyle adventure. Do you think this works or distracts from the video? First time I've done a trip like this and I was struggling to figure out how to do it to be honest.

Totally fair critique. The cooling lines and front-end design were actually the culprit—the Z71's bumper and skid package didn't have the breathing room for the diesel's cooling needs on the earlier generation. You'd think they'd have sorted that out when the engine debuted in 2021, but yeah, sounds like the diesel team and the Z71 team weren't talking. The good news is the 2025 redesign fixed it. The new front fascia has the space, and they also improved the engine itself (LZ0 version)—305 hp, 495 lb-ft, about 10% more output. If you're looking at one, just know there's been some chatter on forums about thrust bearing issues in early 2025 models, so it might be worth checking that out before pulling the trigger.
