That's a great find.
My only guess is that the manual was a translation from one of the overseas ones and this was missed for deletion.

I did order a lariat fx4 2.7l with moonroof in march. Mid may the dealer told me it was scheduled to be built June 1st. Tuesday, after another check, the dealer noticed the production date moved end of July and ford took out the moonroof from my order.
Cancelled my contract today. No ranger coming soon. The dealer did find few available but the options were all too different than what I wanted.
I guess will keep my vehicle for a little while

I’ve seen others on forums report the same issue. I don’t understand how Ford can expect a customer to accept a vehicle after making changes to it. This was going to be my first Ford, but the experience has left a bad impression. I’m not sure I’d consider buying from them again.
What a mess... The dealer was able to submit a new order for the next production batch with a moonroof, so they've offered to make a second attempt. Another truck is now in the pipeline, but if Ford decides to remove the moonroof from the order again, it is already understood that the order will be canceled.
I was okay with that since I wasn't planning to replace my car anytime soon after canceling the first order. Nothing else really fits what I need and want.
