2.7 GM Turbomax Engine

Actually, I was surprised the tow rating is quite high. Around 9K in certain configs. Better than the V6 in a Ram. Should be plenty before needing to switch up to a 2500.

I'm driving one this week and I keep thinking of it as a peppy V6 if that makes sense. As far as reliability, it has been out since 2018 and I have yet to hear many of them failing. In fact, I've heard nothing in that regard which is a good thing.
 

Here’s a video of the turbo max towing near it’s limit. Can it do it? Yes, but I would not want to do it often. If you tow lighter or with a trailer that has a smaller frontal area, the engine will be just fine.
