    Hurricane Fuel Economy

I haven't been real impressed with the hurricanes unloaded. But between Tims rho and this it seems like they tow really well and are actually pretty efficient towing.

Does anyone else ... not care about the Hemi return?

I meant to add on the 6.4 hemi... I think they should keep it around, it is competitive with the Ford and Chevy v8's and would be outstanding as the cheaper engine option to the more expensive Cummins offerings.

Does anyone else ... not care about the Hemi return?

The main problem I see with the Octane is the weight. As for the benefits, in 1989 when the 12 valve Cummins released its main competition was the 454 and 460 gas v8's. Those were great but not nearly as good work horse engines as the 12 valve was. I think the Octane would out work the Godzilla...

Does anyone else ... not care about the Hemi return?

Im happy it's back. I own a 23 with the hemi and it has been great no complaints. But I'm hopeful it will sell more Hurricanes and get RAM sales back on track. Now people have choices and if you drive both back to back it's hard to not choose the more powerful option. Then maybe we get the...

    Hurricane Fuel Economy

The hurricanes are very stout. I seen one swapped into a old d100 that put 630 to the tire. Had the 8 speed trans. And it sounded wicked! But I was hoping for better fuel economy for the standard output version. Maybe in a mid size truck it could do better, I think that's a segment that could...

    Hurricane Fuel Economy

Well the 25 number looks good. That's where I was hoping the hurricanes would consistently be. But 17-19 in the real world is what I've been hearing. I think you said you had a 2.7 Ford before? How do they compare? Have you thought about getting a oil analysis done? I just did it on my 23 hemi...

    Hurricane Fuel Economy

Hopefully it keeps getting in the mid 20's. Seems like the SO runs pretty good though.

    Hurricane engine has no dipstick

Yeah hay trucks in Oklahoma tow at low speeds pretty often not many hills though. I wonder if the owners manual calls for a different weight oil for heavy duty use?

    Ram RHO is pretty badass?

Maybe they want to price the RHO competitive so they can add excitement for the new 1500 and the hurricane? I can't understand why they would make a Laramie more expensive?

    Ram RHO is pretty badass?

Man I agree 100% on the shift knob. Biggest win is the freed space for me. And I hated it at first as well.

    Ram RHO is pretty badass?

Do you think they will be lowering prices on the rest of the line up?

    Hello everyone.

Hello everyone I decided to join the forum. I have been watching Tim for awhile "and arguing with him in the comments section".... if I didn't who would? I'm kidding but it's good to be here and I look forward to the good discussions. My current vehicle list is... 2023 ram 1500 Laramie 2000...
