What is a vehicle emissions rollback to 2020 standards going to do in real world terms? IMO, Not much as vehicle makers aren't going to just turn on a dime. That's why the EPA is not needed nearly as much as it once was, i am not sure of any vehicle made anywhere in the world that is truly dirty...

The day I ordered my 2004 Silverado this truck was being purchased by an older guy, I think the son or grandson owns it now., its a 4x4 Chevy 2500HD, 6 liter, 5 speed, seeing the green was why I ordered green on my Silverado, the guy lives about a mile down the road from me.

If Toyota sold those in the USA I would literally pass the Road Runner in the Wiley E Coyote cartoons to get to the Toyota dealership to buy one.

I don't think people necessarily dislike diesel emissions stuff they just want them to work.

I doubt any manufacturer is going to backtrack on their exhaust emissions to any great extent, that's why the EPA needs severely scaled back in its current form as its just not necessary anymore as its far past the point of diminishing returns.

Another thing I would like to know is do they actually run the engines and transmissions before install or is it just build and ship?

I would like to know if the engineering department has a direct link to the warranty department, say the warranty department has 200 claims of a certain part having to be replaced under warranty does the warranty department contact the engineering department and tell the ASAP?
