    RHO for Tim

I’m practically going nuts, and it isn’t my truck. I sure hope you get it by year end, I’m looking forward to your articles and videos on it. The Ram interior is excellent. The SO Hurricane is a stunner. I can only imagine what the HO will be like.

    Based on the Dirt Lines....

I paid ~$1500 for thick PPF, perfectly cut and professionally applied on all forward facing surfaces on my ‘21 F150 before my Alaska trip. That included the lights, bumper, A-pillars, the leading edge of the roof above the windshield … everything but the grill. The only other area I wish I...

    RHO for Tim

I don’t think the 8 speed with the 3.92 rear end is going to be able to compete. Based on my brief experience, that is slightly better than normal. BTW - I stopped at the dealer the other day and a guy was about to leave in his loaded, Black RHO. That truck may lack the violent rumble of the...

TFL Denver 100 MPG Loop New Ram Rebel, AT4X, Tremor

I think the 8 speed and 3.92 rear end make the Ram suck more gas. The 8 speed is a very smooth shifting transmission, but I think the two additional overdrives give Ford and GM an edge. My Ram runs 3-400 rpm higher than my F150 did at the same speeds. It is almost always 2k+ RPM while my F150...

    Hurricane Fuel Economy

I’ll post another tankful at ~5k miles, and if I tow a travel trailer or do something outside of my norm. I’ve done enough to know that this truck will average about 4-5 MPG less than my 2.7 EB in similar driving conditions. With that said, this truck has power and capability significantly...

    Hurricane Fuel Economy

The dealer gave me a tank of premium, so I thought I would keep using it for a thousand miles or so, get a baseline with premium and switch to regular. After 10k I'll try a few tanks of premium again to see if it makes a difference.

    Ram RHO first drive video

I loved this video. You are obviously so pumped over the RHO. I’m looking forward to your other vids on YOUR RHO when you get it. I think you are spot on in your comments about how this is a well thought out, usable toy (my word not yours) that will be more livable than the TRX.

    Hurricane engine has no dipstick

So far I like it. It is amazing how much more convenient it is to not have to reach or climb over the tailgate to get stuff into and out of the bed.

    Hurricane engine has no dipstick

Thank you. You are right, the F250, unladen, had a rough ride. I got 21 on a country drive this weekend. We’ll see how it averages after the engine breaks in. Split tailgate. Of course it opens all the way, and folds down.

Do you need/want Apple CarPlay in your next vehicle?

I wish they would leave the entire infotainment system out; it is just spyware. Provide a USB-c connection to power and speakers, and a mount for a tablet of the car owner’s choice. I trust Apple (kinda). I don’t trust Alexa, Android, Sirius, or any of the auto manufacturers’ cludgy...

    Hurricane engine has no dipstick

So apparently, it only reads to 1 of the 7 preset levels. The manual says it is a 7.5 quart system. After looking at the oil jug in the daylight, I had put in just over 6 quarts into it last night. By the way, I had let it drain for over a half hour as I fought with the oil filter and finally...

    Hurricane engine has no dipstick

So I did my first oil change on my 2025 1500 Big Horn 4wd with the Hurricane tonight. I had to use oil filter pliers to get the filter off, but other than that it was easy. It was starting to rain, so I quickly dumped an 5 quart jug of Valvoline 0w20, and some random amount out of a second...

Ram 1500 Quad Cab Back Seats

So, I apparently wasn’t holding my mouth right. I looked at a different Quad Cab, and after overcoming the resistance of the detention, the rear seat folded right up. Thanks for everyone’s input. My Tundra and F150 didn’t have such a firm detent.

All new trucks are junk these days?

@ Tim The only thing missing from your reply to rodneyhirsch2340 is the bird finger emoji. ;)

All new trucks are junk these days?

Some parts of the vehicles are better than they have ever been. 10 years ago non-turbo v6's passed the V8 power and torque threshold of the 1990's, not to mention efficiency. Most people reading this don't remember the days of having to pump a gas pedal before starting a vehicle; or it being...
