Turbo engines provide fuel economy benefits if you're around town as the smaller displacement engine can still get you where you need to, with minimal turbo boost. Higher speed or loaded down, the V8's will get similar fuel economy or even better like you mentioned.

He needs to go sit in the Yukon to see if he can live with the seats compare to a Navigator. The Navigator seats are some of the best across all car brands. If he can live with the seats, then I would take the Yukon with the diesel.

I think it's that GM is notorious for having issues with the DFM/AFM systems. Ford and Ram implementations also caused problems, but less so and they seemed to have fixed them compare to GM where it's still an active problem.

It's much lower than that. The Cybertruck had, allegedly, more than 2 million reservations and has only sell around 40K units since launch. A 2% take rate assuming that everybody that bought one, had a reservation. Ford had around 160K reservations and has only sold 80K units total since 2022.
