    Drain plug Fumoto or Valvomax

Let us know how it works for you. I only have experience with the Fumoto.

    Car companies spying on owners

I just watched Steve Lehto’s follow up to this story. He’s got a good point about how GM responded. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are still selling the data.

    Drain plug Fumoto or Valvomax

I always start draining the oil into the pan and then work on the filter and let the oil run down, so it’s not any slower for me. I can see how a quick change oil shop might have a problem with it though and not let it drain long enough. It’s so much quicker and cleaner to get it started though...

    Drain plug Fumoto or Valvomax

I have Fumoto on my trucks. I recommend getting the model with a longer nipple and a hose so you can put it directly into the drain pan. With thin oils these days, a slight breeze and it's all over the place. I added a skid plate to my 2018 Tundra because I was a bit leery about hitting the...

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

There are plenty of reasons to hate particulate filters if you've had problems with them. However, looks like he was mistaken and was looking at the wrong specs. He posted a new video just a bit ago talking about what he got wrong. I'm glad to hear those engines don't have them though.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

Looks like he took it down because he was looking at the specs for the wrong engine. He just posted a new video about his mistakes. One thing I'm glad to hear is that it doesn't actually have the gas particulate filter. It seemed crazy to do it when it wasn't required by the regs.

    3rd Gen Engine Failures

I couldn't believe it either. Gasoline particulate filters. That alone is a huge reason to never buy this truck. I already had a long list, but it's just another huge expense you'll have to deal with eventually. He's right about diesels being ruined by the emissions equipment. For Toyota to put...

What other YouTube channels are you subscribed to?

Mainly automotive, guns, farming, science, and investment channels. Matt Risinger also has a good channel if you are thinking of building a good, efficient house. Abom79 and AvE have pretty good channels if you're interested in machinist work and tools.

    Car companies spying on owners

They probably go just up to the line of what is legal to sell. I do know email addresses are sold all the time. That's one of the common threads nefarious people can use to link all data back to personal information. If they have location, travel, and spending habits from one source they can...

Did you get to sit in the Ranger Tim?

I just watched your video of Ford's presentation or the Ranger. The seat cushions looked really thin. I wonder if they put in thinner, firmer cushions so they could get more headroom?

How to block a specific Youtube channel from search results (not mentioning names)

There's one channel I do not want to see in searches or recommendations. I searched on how to do it and changed all the settings I think I can for now. However, one guy's channel keeps coming up in searches. I don't want to watch his videos (I think he's a bit looney) but I can't seem to remove...

Good for you. Most people probably don't like it though.

    TFL just broke their Tacoma

Looks like the TFL Tacoma is fixed. They posted a short showing it on a trail today. I hope they have more information on what broke and how.

    Car companies spying on owners

I just watched a video from Steve Lehto about car companies spying on owners. He's pretty PO'd about it...as am I. It seems like a bad trend in about every aspect of our lives. I didn't realize that car companies could even do facial scans! I guess that's part of the self driving stuff. Seems...

    TFL just broke their Tacoma

I think it did what they intended to do. They showed it wouldn’t break under similar conditions.

    TFL just broke their Tacoma

I think the best thing Toyota could do is a full presentation of the findings. I suspect the ADD didn’t engage fully or some other one off situation occurred. If that’s not the case and it’s really a weak link (maybe because the new engine has more torque?) they still should be upfront about it...

    Interesting Payload Article

I think the more tech and data storage the new vehicles get, as well as online connectivity, the manufacturers can simply look at the data files and negate warranty claims. After the video Tim posted today, I was thinking about the F150 that has built in scales. I'm sure the vehicles will store...

    TFL just broke their Tacoma

Every camera recorded a loud pop and shudder when it went. I've experienced that when a hub busted, but it could also be something internal to the front diff or transfer case. I really hope we see the tear down and find out what busted. I doubt it's something simple to fix from how violently the...
