The Car Care Nut - The Unfortunate Truth TRD Pro Review

No, conspiracy theories have to work both ways. :ROFLMAO: ;) Why are you so willing/determined (insert adjective) to defend the behavior of vehicle manufacturers, who have all lost court battles for purposefully deceiving the public and or authorities, been sued and lost or been caught...

Toyota denying warranty claims - GR Corolla

Two Toyota Corolla GRs have burned up and their reasons for denying warranty claims on one was going over 85 mph. This is a track edition Corolla that comes when you purchase it with a day at the racetrack. Second warranty was denied because they couldn't figure out the exact cause of the...

Solid move by Nissan, the truck looks good enough to compete and now has caught up a bit on the inside.

What does "Truck Culture" mean to you?

For me it's changed as I've gotten older. 43 now. As a teen and into my early 20's it meant heading off into the mountains with buddies on the weekends to climb the mountains around here and set up a bonfire. Playing around in the snow and towing people out. When my kids came along in my late...

New engines for Tundra and Lexus

The 24's and any Hybrid have not yet been addressed but we know the hybrids are affected as Toyota said they are but weren't included in the original recall because with the hybrid system they retain motive power from the battery. The thought is they can move themselves out of harms way so not a...

Subscription fees in trucks: yay or nay?

Agree with the TV comparison. I guess in the end the consumer will set whether they work or not.

New engines for Tundra and Lexus

These two issues were really bad for toyota, they got caught and agreed to pay over a billion dollars, to avoid prosecution, for lying and trying to cover up the accelleration issue. The rust frame issue took way too many years to acknowledge, address and solve. In the end they didn't .... they...

New engines for Tundra and Lexus

I agree with you and wonder why they keep getting caught covering things up... https://electrek.co/2021/01/14/toyotas-greenwashing-leads-to-record-180m-fine-for-emissions-lies/ https://www.theregister.com/2024/06/04/toyota_falsified_certification_tests/...

New engines for Tundra and Lexus

True, I can't knock them for replacing the entire engine, that's great and should start changing the narrative a bit. Just not sold it's the entire story.. There should be more to come when the hybrids and 2024's get addressed.

New engines for Tundra and Lexus

There's been a few part number changes to some of the internal components of the engines recently that has been covered on a few other YouTube channels. I haven't seen anybody get an answer back from Toyota on what the changes were or why they were made.

Stellantis net profits down ...48% from last year.

I wonder which lines they're going to cut? That's too much market share lost to just lower the prices on current inventory and call it good.

New engines for Tundra and Lexus

So, what are they going to do with the hybrids with the engines made on the exact same lines and the 2024s having similar issues?

New engines for Tundra and Lexus

Call me a conspiracy theorist but replacing 100,000 engines leads me to believe there's more to this story than machining debris left in the engine. I'll try to find the article but it's been reported a few different times that there's ways to tell if the engine is one of the ones affected...

    Awd option in a truck

I feel like it's talked about quite a bit but never really pointed out where it's missing in some manufacturers. I think it's a great option and coming from the Pacific Northwest really useful. I'm in and out of 4 Auto all the time during fall and winter. I wouldn't let it be the deciding factor...

Subscription fees in trucks: yay or nay?

I currently pay for Sirius and that's it from my truck perspective. It has remote connect or whatever, data and all the other features possible through the myGMC app but I don't pay for any of it. I'm not philosophically opposed to the idea but currently I don't see the value proposition. I...
