Is the GM 6.2L still a bad engine?

lol, I don’t care what brand it is as long as it’s somewhat reliable. That’s the reason I made this thread, mostly all I see is negative posts about it on social media platforms when I search the GM 6.2 engine. Was looking for other opinions from current owners or people that have owned one...

Is the GM 6.2L still a bad engine?

Yes 18K isn’t a lot of units, I wasn’t sure if it was on a grand scale or not from what I’ve been reading. Thanks for the info 🍻

Is the GM 6.2L still a bad engine?

I am test driving a 2026 Chevrolet 1500 High Country with the 6.2L. Has GM fixed the engine and transmission issues or should I steer clear of this until the new 2027’s come out. Really don’t want to be driving down the road and have this grenade on me. I know all vehicles can have issues but...

How many videos do you watch a day?

I’ll watch some if I want to do research on certain things and catch up on the ones I subscribe to when home. I work away on a two week on and two off schedule, dont watch much of anything when I’m gone.

GM Tonawanda plant gets $888 Million investment for next-gen V-8s

I got better gas mileage with the 5.0 than I did with the ecoboost, on average 2L/100 (3 miles per gallon) better with the 5.0. I drove a Ram with the SO Hurricane while my truck was in the shop for a water pump and it’s no better than the 5.7 Hemi is from my experience. I’m getting 11 to 12...

Consumer Reports least reliable 2025 trucks

There are issues with all the brands, can’t be avoided with all the parts that are in today’s vehicles. My neighbour and I could buy the same truck, mine could be trouble free and theirs could be riddled with issues. I’ve had three f-150’s and two Ram 1500 since 2008 and all of them have served...

    Additives in pump gasoline

No apparently you don’t need the certification here from what I read. Shell, Kirkland and CO-OP are certified but Petro Canada and Esso are not which is weird because the Costco gas I delivered came from Esso In the two cities I delivered to, Regina and Edmonton. Costco’s in other cities may be...

    Additives in pump gasoline

I don’t know, the gas I brought there already had all the additives in it. I’m sure it’s fine, they sell a lot of gas but I won’t use it. How much of this stuff are they adding? I don’t know what’s in the gas I load either but I don’t like the idea of a third party adding other things to it. I...

    Additives in pump gasoline

lol I’m sure it’s fine, just wondering why they add it since the gas already has some in it. Only thing I could find is that it’s UltraZol 9888.

    Additives in pump gasoline

I used to be a fuel hauler here in Canada and loaded primarily out of Regina. Places like 7-11 used Petro Canada gas, fast gas outlets uses generic refinery gas, which in my case was co-op gas. Shell has their own additives as does Petro Canada, Esso, co-op has their additives also. I always...

Do you plan on doing DIY maintenance on your pickup

Same here, I usually support the dealership I buy my vehicles from and I like having my maintenance documented in case something goes wrong and need warranty work.

    RHO for Tim

Mine was $133000 plus taxes. The 2024 final editions I’ve seen marked up to $180000 at some dealerships. Don’t know what they go for now, haven’t checked.
