RAM/Dodge actually offered a lifetime warranty in the late 2000's. GM offered a 100k in response for 2 or 3 years late 2000's. Ford never went above 60k I don't think. If they respond I could see it taking a few years. RAM's market share has really fallen off from a high of mid to high 20's...

I also think this move screams a little panic from RAM. When Hyundai/KIA did this it was in response to poor trust, because of poor quality, with US consumers. A couple of manufacturers followed suit in time only to then pull back to the 5yr 60k.
