Ford is recalling 850k vehicles all thanks to Mexico supplier fuel pump mishaps causing vehicles to stall. Ford recalls 850k vehicles The recall document on NHTSA.gov states: NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 Manufacturer Ford Motor Company Components FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE Potential Number of Units Affected 850,318 These vehicles include: certain 2021-2023 Bronco, Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, 2021-2022 Lincoln Navigator, Mustang, F-150, and 2022 Expedition vehicles. Ford announced a recall?---yawn.

I get that email from NHTSA every Monday and start scrolling hoping not to see a Ford product, but alas, I'm not sure that Monday will ever arrive.......

If you click the link and then click on the red part of the pie chart you can see the breakdown. A good chunk are back up cameras.

A commenter on TikTok is making the argument that Government mandated recalls shouldn’t count. I don’t see it that way. Everyone has backup cameras. Why should Ford get the “well that’s the Government for you” pass when other brands don’t?

Irrelevant to what they are for. Every brand must replace labels when they are incorrect. The sheer number is what is so crazy to me. I know they are aware and have been trying to fix this for some time and that is what is so shocking; that they can't figure out why it's happening. How are so many things escaping?
 
The needed 33 recalls for that? Couldn't they have just put it in an email to the customers and offer them a cheeseburger or something? It would've been much better PR.

The question back to them is, "So no other brand issues multiple recalls for the same thing?" We all know others do and yet there's Ford with a slice of pie so big it would choke Joey Chestnut.....
