We're getting a Tim Hortons

They are building a Tim Hortons, a Canadian restaurant, right on the edge of North Port, Florida. (Southwest part of the state) Given how many Canadian snowbirds we get, I can see it working well but it brings up a sore subject for me. If Tim Horton's can make the logistics work to bring this here and make it profitable, where is my White Castle? Why do I have to drive all the way to Orlando to get some sliders? Bring them over here!

Wait. Didn't you and Jill have a side discussion in one of your reviews about how you couldn't find a decent cup of coffee in that area?

Yeah, that was one of the press trips with some shitty hotel coffee. I don't have high standards, but hotel coffee is usually better than that.

That reminds me, have you started bringing packets of emergency coffe with you? Like those Starbucks singles or Folgers coffee bags?

Oh you can't go by me. I have poor judgement when it comes to coffee. I like Folger's breakfast blend.

Oh, I like it all but I developed a sensitivity to caffeine and now too much will put me in the hospital. I can one, maybe two good cups of coffee a day. I had a bad habit of making a pot and drinking most of it. The Aero helped me dial back to one a day.

Tim Hortons is everywhere here in Canada. Dunkin' Donuts didn’t survive, they all shut down years ago.
Krispy Kreme didn’t really take off either.

Sometimes I go for a drive with my daughter (of course, she’s the one driving), and we stop for a donut somewhere along the way.
They have lots of good stuff for quick BF, lunch and diner!

Back in 2002–2003, I was working on a project at the Ford headquarter, and I remember they had just opened a new Tim Hortons location somewhere near Dearborn. I can’t recall if it was in Dearborn or in one of the nearby small towns, I had to go check it out. 😋

That's impressive that you were able to cut back and stick to it. It's a big deal.

Tim Hortons is like a craze here in Canada. I know a lot of people that brew Tim hortons coffee at home every morning then stop by the Tim’s drive through on the way to work. You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a Tim Horton’s in my area. The Timmie’s are crazy busy in the mornings.
I’m not a coffee drinker so it’s only a go for me when I’m travelling and want a quick bite. Their food items are less greasy than the burger and chicken fast food options.
