China halts rare earth exports; Tesla, GM, Ford screwed?

Unrelated to trucks but Gamers Nexus put out a video on how the tariffs are affecting the pricing on computer components. An interesting point that was raised is the the volatility of the tariffs has made it impossible for them to plan out realistic ways of dealing with the tariffs. Several of the vendors, some of them US based, have made the decision to leave the US market and focus on their other markets.

Uh, you know. Pickuptrucktalk.com is actually considered a news site, right? LOL

I know, but that's not how I came to be a pickup truck plus fan. I've probably only ever visited the website a handful of times, I don't remember the last time I was there. I watch the youtube content and I participate in the forums. I don't have enough free time in my life to also read articles on websites. Aside from YouTube my other free time goes to podcasts, no truck related content there, and reading books.

I wonder what percentage of your YouTube viewers regularly visit your website for news.

Probably 5 percent thanks to Google screwing us over. There was a time it was actually comparable for views.

Where to begin with that Monopoly. They destroyed small website search traffic, cut traffic by 50%, destroyed revenue and are now serving answers through stolen AI search info which means nobody will visit actual websites as much as they used to.
Yeah, it seems to be the common answer and is quite sad. You're the first to mention AI directly. It's a real shame as most of the time, AI relays bad information where in the original article, it was correct.
