RHO for Tim

Mine was $133000 plus taxes. The 2024 final editions I’ve seen marked up to $180000 at some dealerships. Don’t know what they go for now, haven’t checked.

I love the financing terms for leasing are for weekly payments. LOL
That is crazy financing. I get that there are vehicles that cost that much but they were always exotic things beyond me. High-end Italian things built by hand that would gather a crowd as it is valet parked outside a fine restaurant. Now it's mass-produced vehicles you'll see going through the Dairy Queen drive-thru after leaving Walmart. "Make sure they know we got a coupon Marjorie!!"

Pretty busy evening with being on the phone and then a Zoom call with Mark Dodge. First, I got a call from the salesman then the finance guy to discuss numbers. They took my credit app through a secure online portal. Then, I had a zoom call with the person who closed my deal. Basically, within an hour, I did the whole deal online.

I got the $10k off that Mark Dodge gives out for spending over $70k. Then, I got another $1k off through a special Ram sales event that ending that day. I could have waited until Monday to see if Ram offered more when a new sales month officially starts, but I’m not much of a gambler. I also got $1k off for that video I did that drove sales to the dealership the owner gave me.

My payment is going to be right around $1100. I never put money down and I have no trade. I know it sounds like a lot, but, for me, it is like sending the IRS a $1100 check each month for taxes.

I actually think the payment is pretty good all things considered. I thought it would be more like $1500.

I was thinking about doing a truck news recap and discussing this and more inside that video. The more I think of new things like insurance, I think I’m going to do a video today on all these details. Makes it easier when I get the truck to just say “for all the details, check out this other video.” Still thinking that over.

Sure. Why not post how great it is to deal with Mark Dodge? Maybe other dealers will catch on and not be vampires trying to suck every penny out of us. I definitely would post about the discount and how easy the transaction was. Although, you'll still get beat to death about the payment amount. Of course, it makes sense for your business but the average schmuck on YT won't care. They're just gonna whine about how expensive new trucks are and how that payment is ridiculous, etc., etc.

Did you bring your financing or let Mark Dodge find it for you? (I think a video on the ins and outs of auto loans would be great. Especially getting into why cash doesn't matter anymore and how dealerships make money off of financing)

I let them find the financing. I never bother with it to be honest because of how short of a timeframe I plan on keeping the vehicle. I'm not sure I'm well versed enough to do a video on auto loans. I AM well versed in monthly car loan payments. LOL
